Bananas are one fruit that can always be found in our kitchen. They are so versatile so they can be used in a recipe or are just great on their own. They’re great for desserts, for a quick morning breakfast, or an in-between meals snack. Whatever your reasons for eating bananas, they are known to contain an incredible amount of vitamins and minerals.
Chiquita Banana now wants to know how YOU use bananas in a recipe and your idea would be worth up to $4,000!! The Chiquita Cooking Lab Recipe Contest is going on and they want to know your favorite recipes!
Click here to start your recipe! Once at the website “scratch” off the yellow section to the right. After the section is clear it will give you 3 (three) ingredients. Then you start entering your recipe. You will be asked for your name, email address, your recipe name, ingredients, how to prepare and cook time. After you submit your recipe, you will receive an email thanking you for your submission and a reminder to look for the next week ingredients – that simple!
Each week from September 29th to November 24th, three secret ingredients are announced. That’s when you get your creative juices flowing and come up with a unique recipe that features those ingredients. One winner will be chosen each week to win $4,000 and have their recipe turned into a stop motion video and promoted on Chiquita’s digital and social channels. Four random winners will also be chosen weekly to receive a Chiquita gift bag.

My favorite way to use bananas are simply making a yummy banana bread with walnuts but I think I should mix it up a bit and add another fruit in there like apricots or apple pieces.
