I love makeup. Like absolutely love it. Do I know how to use any of it? Not at all. I love the idea of makeup and watching YouTube channels to get these perfect looks. The only problem with those channels is that those women use tools and makeup that is way out of my price point. I need great makeup but in my budget and I knew that would be hard to find.

Then a friend told me about Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes+ and I was blown away by these lashes. I tried them and fell in love. I recently found out that Younique actually offers a diverse collection of face, lip, and eye makeup, plus, they have an impressive range of skincare products and cosmetics tools, including brushes and blending buds! I was in heaven. I already trusted the brand with my lashes so I had to try their affordable makeup too.
Here’s what I was sent to try out:
Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes+
When I leave the house you can always catch me with at least mascara on. I have naturally dark blonde hair so without mascara I look sickly (no really, lol). My lashes are a pretty okay length to begin with but when I wear Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes+ by Younique it gives them even more length, color, fullness and a little curl too. Using the Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes+ is a three-step process which I was surprised about when I first got them. First, you put on the Transplanting Gel (which is a bit like mascara), then you add the 3D fibers, then follow that with either more Transplanting Gel to seal the fibers to your lashes. You can repeat the process again if you want even bigger lashes! Some people do gel, fibers, mascara but when I use mascara at the end I was seeing clumps or “spider lashes” so I use the product the way it’s intended.
As you can see, the Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes+ made my lashes full and filled out with some added length. My (3 letter brand) mascara clumped some of my lashes together as you see in the bottom left picture.
Stiff Upper Lip – Lip Stain
In my makeup bag, I definitely have more lip glosses rather than lipstick. I still like some color to my lips though so I was excited to try the Stiff Upper Lip – Lip Stain. It’s very thin like a regular lip gloss, but you’re left with gorgeous lasting color. It tends to go on a bit unevenly with more color in one spot. It doesn’t take much to fix those little mistakes, though. Through drinking and eating these stains have lasted through the entire day for me! Around mid-afternoon, I do reapply just because I like a stronger color and the smooth feeling of my lips with a new application but my lips don’t actually need more color at that point.
Moodstruck Addiction Shadow Palettes (one and two)
Moodstruck Addiction Shadow Palettes just hit “shelves” THIS month so I was super excited to try these new palettes but honestly, this is what I was most nervous about. This is the part of makeup that I’m not too sure about. Apply one color, apply all and blend until your arm falls off? What are you suppose to do?! There are three color palettes to choose from. I was sent One and Two. Each palette contains neutral colors that are also great for your Fall wardrobe. You’ll find the perfect variety of both matte and shimmery shadows to choose from. In the Addiction Shadow Palette 1 you have your warm brown shades perfect for work, school, or a day of running errands. Addiction Shadow Palette 2 is your silvers and dark grays for a perfect smokey eye look for the night out on the town. Now that I tried these two palettes I’ve become obsessed and I now need Addiction Shadow Palette 3 because it’s full of gorgeous pinks and light purples! My favorite to wear!
I’ve had a lot of fun mixing and playing around with the colors. No eye shadow police here so I say, have fun with your makeup. In the photo above I’m wearing Hopeless with Blissful on the inner corners (and down my face haha) both from Addiction Shadow Palette 2.
Pictured in my main photo you can also find Moodstruck Precision Pencil Eye Liners which I received in Perfect, Passion and Prim. Usually I tend to stick to just black liner so it’s been great to get out of my makeup comfort zone and try a little color without feeling scared about my purchase. The pencils are more of a cream style. They go on really smooth and didn’t flake at all. It stays on all day too which is important.
I was also sent Refreshed Rose Water. This helps rejuvenate, soften, and revitalize your skin. I’ve never used anything like this before so I wasn’t sure how it would do on my sensitive skin, but I’ve been loving it. It’s been about 2 weeks that I’ve used it on a nightly basis and I’ve definitely noticed a change in my skin. It’s not as dry or flakey and the rose water hasn’t caused any new breakouts. It smells wonderful too, even though I don’t usually like rose smelling products.
