I think I’m pretty lucky. I have horrible vision but I have access to thousands of eye care centers and I have insurance that helps me with the cost. My oldest daughter also now needs vision correction. Instead of worrying we took her to get a prescription and now she has a pair of glasses that she loves.
Others aren’t so lucky. In fact, about 1.1 billion people lack access to an eye exam or a pair of glasses. We all know how empowering clear vision can be in our daily lives so it breaks my heart that this is happening.
Together with volunteers and partners, OneSight provides access to vision care and establishes permanent clinics staffed by local, capable partners to serve each community’s distinct needs with their #ShareYourSight campaign.
When you buy a pair, OneSight will a pair. It’s that simple. We purchased M these Ray-Ban Jr. Kids glasses. The cool thing is that all kids glasses come with Impact Resistant Polycarbonate included in the price so I’m definitely excited about her glasses having that extra little bit of protection. I’m sure since she’s older she can take care of her glasses but you just never know.
Another thing I loved about ordering from Glasses.com is that the shipping and returns are both free. If it turns out that your glasses don’t work with your face shape or for whatever reason, send them back. Glasses.com has partnered with Lens Crafters which means you can take your lenses into any Lens Crafters and get them sized if need be! My daughter says hers feel fine but I will definitely take advantage of the Lens Crafters partnership just to make sure there aren’t any issues.
Thousands of trained volunteers and doctors travel the globe each year to staff OneSight Clinics and teach local residents as part of their commitment to transfer skills and build sustainable infrastructures in underserved communities, both internationally and domestically.
Since 1988, OneSight Vision Clinics have served 9 million people in 41 countries and 49 states. With the help of dedicated partners, there are 8 sustainable Vision Centers operating today, providing permanent access to vision care to over 2 million people. In the next five years, that number will grow to over 20 million.
Remember, this back to school season and beyond, look to Glasses.com for affordable glasses with a great brand selection. Plus, where else can you buy yourself glasses and help to donate a pair to someone in need?
