The holidays – or Wholidays as the residents of Seuss Landing call it – are in full swing at Universal Studios Florida! It’s hard to pick just one park to visit so you can’t. Visit Islands of Adventure to check out the Grinchmas Wholiday Spectacular or visit Universal Studios to watch the Macy’s Parade and Mannheim Steamroller.
Starting at Islands of Adventure you’ll fall in love with all the whimsical holiday decorations from the moment you enter Seuss Landing. The Ginchmas Wholiday Spectacular is the center of attention and a must see when visiting the park. With multiple show times throughout the day it’s best to arrive early because the line gets long very quickly.
Before the show you can meet other famous Dr. Seuss characters like The Cat In The Hat, The Lorax, and of course Thing 1 & Thing 2!
The very funny Jim Carry-style retelling of the classic story of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” is told by Cindy Lou Who, Martha May, the Grinch, and a largely new cast of performers this year. We’ve seen the show for the past 3 years and it never gets old.
Over at Universal Studios Orlando is where you can catch the Macy’s Holiday Parade. If you can’t catch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade in New York City the parade at Universal Studios is definitely your next best option. You can expect to see balloons bigger than life along with fun characters, dancers, and marching bands from some high schools around Central Florida. At the end of the parade route is where you’ll experience the tree lighting ceremony featuring Santa Claus, his Rockettes-style dancers, and tap-dancing snowmen.
Universal Orlando Holidays take place now through Jan. 4, 2014 with remaining Mannheim Steamroller performances on Dec. 14, 15, 21 and 22, 2013.
