This is by far my favorite slow cooker chili recipe because it’s insanely easy, only uses 4 ingredients, and best of all you only have two pans to clean – one skillet and the slow cooker pot!

Ingredients For An Easy Chili Dinner
- 2 pounds ground beef, browned
- 2 – 16oz cans chili kidney beans, not drained
- 3 – 15oz cans tomato sauce (you can sub canned diced tomatoes if you cannot find plain tomato sauce during these hard times)
- 1/4 cup bulk chili seasoning or 2 packages
How To Make Slow Cooker Chili

Brown ground beef in skillet. Season with salt and pepper to taste. While beef is browning, open both cans of kidney beans and dump beans into your slow cooker. Add 3 cans of tomato sauce and chili seasoning then stir to combine. You can sub canned diced tomatoes if you cannot find plain tomato sauce during these hard times. Once beef is browned, drain any excess grease out then add beef to slow cooker. Stir everything together.

Set your slow cooker to low and forget it for 6 hours. No stirring necessary but if you’d like, you can come through every 2 hours and stir everything back together.
That’s it. You’ll have the most flavorful chili and it took little to no effort, one pan, and only 4 ingredients! During times when we are stuck at home in self isolation I have found easy recipes like this where I can “set it and forget it” to be a life saver for my sanity.
One-pot recipes are the best for really busy days or trying to make less of a mess. This recipe also reheats extremely well if you store it in a glass container like these 1 gallon mason jars. Transfer into mason jars and let chili cool down before tightly covering with the lid. Place in your refrigerator for up to one week. When you’re ready to eat, transfer to a sauce pan or microwave-safe bowl.
