The first Cars movie was released in 2006, and followed a hot-shot race car named Lightning McQueen who learns what friendship really is when he winds up alone in the desolate town of Radiator Springs. The sequel, Cars 2, followed in 2011 and took this group of strong knit friends to Paris for the Grand Prix.
Who’s ready for Cars 3?? Pixar has given us the first taste of the hit franchise series. The legendary #95 may be leading the pack, but the high-tech Next Gen racers are closing in fast. We don’t see any faces on the hoods of the cars or Lightning’s friends standing by, gone are the brightly colored cars in the crowds… so at this point I’m not exactly sure how I feel about the upcoming film yet. Doesn’t feel like a good ol’ nice Pixar film but we will find out in a few short months.
Directed by Brian Fee and produced by Kevin Reher, “Cars 3” cruises into theaters on June 16, 2017.
