Exploring Toy Story Land at Walt Disney World

Get ready for a day of full-size fun at Hollywood Studios with me. Keep reading to hear about our first character dining experience and what you can expect from Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Disney Junior Play ‘n Dine

Let’s eat!
Disney Junior Play ‘n Dine character breakfast buffet at Hollywood and Vine is located directly off the main road when you walk into Hollywood Studios. There your family can meet your favorite Disney Junior friends during this fun and interactive dining experience.

While you enjoy breakfast, the stars of the show come around to visit, take pictures, and “chat” it up. Each table gets their own time with the characters too so don’t worry. Some characters took more time with us than others but overall the kids had a great time. The breakfast buffet features such favorites as Mickey waffles (with lots of yummy toppings), made-to-order omelets, pastries, frittatas, fresh fruit, and more!

Reservations are highly recommended for this experience since they want to make sure each family gets the same quality time with the characters.
Exploring Toy Story Land

Upon entering the land you’re greeting by Woody himself! He’s standing tall and ready for a photo op. Don’t forget to look at all the incredible details and thought Disney put into everything. From the fencing, to the light poles, even the ground you walk on – Toy Story Land is filled to the brim with surprises and hidden gems.

Thank you to my friend Melissa at WildlyCharmed.com for this photo of us on Alien Swirling Saucers!
Of course, your first stop has got to be Alien Swirling Saucers and Slinky Dog Dash! These fun new rides will get your laughing, smiling and maybe screaming. Alien Swirling Saucers is a nod to Mater’s Junkyard at Disneyland. It gently wipes you back and forth with some bursts of energy here and there. If you are nervous about the spinning, don’t be. It’s nothing compared to Tea Cups and many people who say they can’t do Tea Cups can ride Aliens.

Slinky Dog Dash is a fun-filled family coaster. Great intro coaster for those 38″ or taller who may not have ridden a “real” coaster before. Your average 4-year-old can ride comfortably and enjoy it. There are two fast bursts but the coaster mellows out and goes a nice and steady speed throughout. There are some dips and times where it seems like you’ll drop fast but the coaster puts on the breaks and glides down rather gently compared to other coasters of the same size.
If that wasn’t enough fun for the day, you can hop over to Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party like we did. It was a long but eventful day and everything from start to finish was filled with amazement and fun.
Disclosure: I’m a Disney Partner and received this complimentary trip for #DisneyKids. As always, all opinions are my own.
