When I was contacted by Fiber Choice about joining in their 30-Day Get Picky Challenge, I knew I wanted to particpate right away because I have never been able to find a fiber routine that really worked for me. Sure, I have a fiber pill that I know I should take and I’m pretty sure it does its job but because I hate it I am never good at remembering to take it. We all need fiber though because as you may know it helps with healthy pooping! And we all want that, right?
So taking the challenge would require me to talk about the P word. Did I really want to do that on my blog? Well, sure, why not? My issue was would Fiber Choice products really be that good that I would 1) take them on a regular basis and 2) be better than my current chalky pill? Each Fiber Choice product contains a prebiotic fiber called inulin, which is a 100% natural fiber that is found in fruits and veggies already. It can help aid in digestion as well as keep you regular. These prebiotics help the good bacteria (or probiotics as you may know it as) in your body grow. After I read more about the products I decided I had to join the challenge. It’s only 30 days so it wouldn’t hurt me to try it out and anything that can help my body work more smoothly is something I’m definitely all for.
Fiber Choice comes in all types of options and flavors plus they are gluten-free. I chose the Fiber Choice Fruity Bites which are fiber gummies. You can take up to 3 servings a day, but I decided to start with just one serving a day so I don’t freak out my system with a crazy amount of fiber that it clearly wasn’t use to. We’ll see how the 2 gummies do and if I need more I’ll add it in (will update you on that in a later post). The gummies have natural flavors and colors which I love. Not to mention, they really do taste great. Not quite a sugary filled gummy you get in the candy aisle of the grocery store of course but they definitely don’t taste like fiber. The supplements Fiber Choice makes contain 3 grams of fiber per serving. The natural fiber helps support your immune system and digestive tract, and can be taken every day. Even children as young as 4-years-old can have the gummies so the whole family can get the recommended intake of 25 to 35 grams of fiber a day.
I’m not too far into the challenge but I can tell you that I have actually been good at taking the gummies daily like I’m suppose to! I place them near the Keurig so in the morning they are practically the first thing I see. You’ll hear from me again at the end of the challenge and I will hopefully have good news for you.
