If you peek into my garage or attic, you’ll find multiple bins filled to the brim with decorations. I love decorating for every occasion, holiday, and season. It’s no surprise that Halloween is included in the mix, and when it comes to Halloween decorations, I have my fair share. I’ve always felt that there was something missing… until now. I’m sharing how this year, we’re taking our Halloween decorations to the next level with Philips Hue smart lighting.

A few weeks ago, I told you how Philips Hue smart lighting helps make homework time easier for the whole family, but now that Halloween is upon us, I’m using the smart lighting system to turn our home into a haunted house.
Take Your Halloween Decor to the Next Level

When it comes to creating the spooky Halloween look you want, there’s only so much you can do with store-bought decor. That is until you use the Philips Hue smart lighting system to take your home from blah to wow. Once you have the Philips Hue White and Color Ambiance starter kit, you’re on your way becoming the coolest house on the block.
This year, we’re planning to throw a Halloween bash for our family, friends, and neighbors. We knew we had to use our Hue lighting to transform our home into more than anyone could expect. We had the lights covered but that’s not all that makes a spooky environment.

I downloaded the third-party Hue Haunted House app to help me transform our home. Hue Haunted House offers scary scenes like Grisly Graveyard, Creepy Cave, Eerie Forest, Demon Dollhouse, and so much more! Each scene contains high-quality audio combined with lighting effects synced to your Philips Hue smart lighting system.
We like some of the scene settings, but also love that we can go in and change a color here or add a sound there, change the volume of a background noise or add a witch cackle in.

Because we wanted the coolest looking house on the block, besides the Hue starter kit, we added in a Philips Hue Go. The Philips Hue Go is the most versatile light you can have in your house. When plugged into a power outlet, use it to paint your walls with colors or a white spotlight. Unplug it from the power outlet, and Philips Hue Go becomes a portable centerpiece you can carry with you. Powered by a rechargeable battery, it can last up to 3 hours. Besides being a great spotlight to add a pop of color to my haunted house, I’m thinking we need to take the Philips Hue Go on our next camping trip.

Whether you’ll be entertaining a crowd, creating a haunted house, or simply love to give trick-or-treaters a good spooky scare Philips Hue smart lighting, paired with Hue Haunted House, is the route you should take.
