I’ve partnered with TheMotherhood and ConAgra Foods for Child Hunger Ends Here. All opinions are my own.
Want to know some scary statistics? Nearly 17 million children face hunger in the US. These kids are your neighbors, your child’s classmate, and playmate. Just in Florida alone 1,117,730 children face hunger, that could include the kids my two daughters play with and I have no idea. I am so honored that I am an Ambassador for Child Hunger Ends Here and ConAgra Foods.
They’ve partnered together with music artists like Cody Simpson, Tori Kelly, Amber Riley, and Carly Rae Jepson. These artists are lifting their voices—and the spirits of children everywhere—to help end child hunger in America.
Just listen to what Cody Simpson has to say about this epidemic that America is facing.

Look for the big red pushpin on the box. You’ll find a 8-digit code and once you enter that code in the widget below you will have automatically donated 1 meal. It’s so simple and a step we should all be taking.
Furthermore, once you enter in your code there is an option to enter in your ZIP code to submit your local Feeding America food bank into a competition for an 80,000-meal donation! At the end of the campaign, 10 food banks in the ZIP codes with the most entries will receive the additional donation.
Yesterday my girls and I went through our pantry to donate to our local food bank. MY 8 year old is completely use to donating and loves the idea of helping out children in need. Kendall, who is 2 1/2, just loves the idea of helping mommy while stacking the cans.
If you’d like to get involved in your community head over to http://feedingamerica.org/foodbank-results.aspx there you can put in your ZIP code. The search results will bring up your closest food bank, and email and phone contact information for the directors. Also, the results brings up the statistics for your area. Here are mine (I blacked out the address and the phone number so you can’t see where I live exactly 🙂 Just know it’s Central Florida)
While I was there I also signed up to make a monthly donation. You can see the spot to do that on the left hand side. I feel good about donating because at least my family is helping our community every month even if we can’t always bring food directly into the food banks.
I hope you can enter in as many codes as possible. Please spread the word via your Facebook page, and Twitter page using the hashtag #ChildHunger so we can get the word out to as many people as possible. Tell your neighbor, your coworkers, your mom groups, if you see someone in the grocery checkout lane with one of the above brands in their cart be sure to tell them about the Child Hunger program and the valuable code they have in their possession.
ConAgra Foods and Cody Simpson have come together provide a great prize to one of my readers. I strongly encourage you to enter in the code because you can get an extra entry per day with each new code you enter!
To help the gauge awareness of this program, here’s a quick survey to fill out. Take a few minutes to click on over and answer a few questions.

Disclosure: I participated in a campaign on behalf of TheMotherhood for Child Hunger Ends Here. I received a promotional item as well as compensation as a thank-you for participating. My opinion of this very important cause was not swayed one way or another because of the items I received in exchange for this post.
