Period. Menstrual Cycle. Aunt Flow. It’s a sensitive subject. Always is, probably always will be. But if you have daughters you’ll have to have multiple “talks” while she is growing up and the PERIOD TALK is a major one.
I’m kind of excited though because I get to announce that I am a U by Kotex Ambassador! What does that mean for me? Well, it means for the next 6 months I will be getting embarrassed… a lot. Currently I have no desire to talk to my 7 year old about her period. She knows that mommy has to deal with it every month but beyond that, she is clueless. I know now a days girls are getting their period at a very young age but I guess I just cannot accept the fact that my daughter could be starting her period in year now.
I’m determined to Break the Cycle and have the talk to my daughter without all the weirdness that normall comes with it.
U by Kotex Tween has created an arsenal of tools and tips, available at www.Kotex.com/Tween, that will help empower moms to proactively talk to their tween daughters about these subjects. Which will hopefully reduce the stress and anxiety around the conversation.
U by Kotex Tween looks so great and it kinda makes me excited to talk to my daughter about her period. The pads and liners are smaller but have the same great protection has the Kotex regular pads. And it may sound silly but I really wish these were around when I was younger. I mean really, just look how cute and sassy they are!
So I told you what my ambassadorship means for me, but what does it mean for you? It means lots of great advice, it means Twitter parties, and it means giveaways!!! So please get comfy, maybe even go sign the Kotex pledge to Break the Cycle and talk to your daughters!
