If you’re any kind of Star Wars fan then you know one of the ultimate events that you must attend is the annual Star Wars Galactic Nights Celebration at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s a one night only separately priced ticketed event filled with classic Star Wars fun and exclusive experiences you’ve ever seen before. Walt Disney World invited my husband and I out to explore the galaxy so I could share my personal experiences with you here. Rest assured no monetary exchange happened for my review.
Is this exclusive ticketed event really worth it?

Star Wars: Galactic Nights
With many things available during normal Hollywood Studios hours, I was excited to see what magic Disney was planning to bring to the table. Of course, I wasn’t disappointed. It’s Star Wars Galactic Nights, a one-of-a-kind party where guests from all across the globe can come together and celebrate a galaxy far, far away…
The Hollywood Tower Hotel Transformation:

Beginning at nightfall guests began to see event-exclusive state-of-the-art projections directly onto The Hollywood Tower Hotel! With special effects and cinematic scores from Star Wars, including Solo: A Star Wars Story, it was a sight truly out of this world that photos and videos cannot do justice to.
Inside Star Wars:

Inside the Epic Stunt Theater (Indiana Jones), guests were invited to get a sneak peek into the progress being made on the all-new immersive Star Wars-themed land coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the Fall of 2019 (Summer 2019 at Disneyland Resort). Warwick Davis, a long time part of the LucasFilm family and beloved by Star Wars fans, hosted this grand panel of Imagineers. We got to see everything from full-size AT-ATs, merchandise previews, and to the announcement that the Batuu village you step into is called Black Spire Outpost.

Exclusive Food & Drinks:

With more than 20 themed foods and drinks around the park for Star Wars Galactic Nights, you’ll never go hungry. To save money you could also purchase the Galactic Tasting Package which gives guests the ability to try 5 different offerings and Advanced Seating to the Insiders Panel (above)! We tried a few of the Star Wars themed offers and enjoyed each one. My husband’s favorite was the new Sweet & Spicy Fried Drumstick aka Porg. My favorite drink was the deliciously refreshing but a little overly sweet Jettison Juice which is a watermelon lemonade complete with a color-changing Death Star globe. Perfect for the hot and extra humid day we were having.

Special Character Photo Ops:

If you or your little Star Wars have always wanted to get a picture with certain characters, now was the time! Exclusive to Galactic Nights, guests could come face-to-face with Darth Vader who ceased meet and greets in early 2016! Not only was Darth Vader available but fans could meet Captain Phasma, Seventh sister, Jawas, Imperial Stormtroopers, Tusken Raiders, AWE Troopers, and Ray!! If character meet and greets are your thing, this alone definitely makes Galactic Nights worth it.
Imperial March:

Normally Captain Phasma leaves stormtroopers down Hollywood Boulevard but not at Star Wars Galactic Nights! Dark Lord of t

Photo Backdrops:
Guests could take advantage of the special event pricing Memory Maker package making the night an even sweeter deal! For just $39, you would receive unlimited digital downloads of all your Star Wars Galactic Nights memories including characters, icons, attractions, and more. Through out the park, there were numerous photo backdrop zones. You’d find the most iconic Star Wars scenes like the Death Star: Emperor’s Throne Room, Batuu, K-2SO, Luke’s Hut, Sith Temple, and more!
Attractions:

Your favorite rides were still open like Toy Stoy Mania!, Star Wars-The Adventure Continues, Tower of Terror, Muppet Vision 3D. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster was given a special facelift with it’s Star Wars Edition experience! On Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster you were blasted into hyperspace with cinematic scores from the films, photo projections through-out the ride, and even a special overlay on your Photopass picture. I won’t be showing our photo but just know it looks like you’re jumping to lightspeed, lol.
