*GUEST POST*
This summer we are taking a family trip and will be visiting Seattle and Tacoma Washington. While staying in Tacoma we have found an amazing hotel to stay in. Hotel Murano is like nothing we have ever experienced before in a hotel. I am a huge lover of art and especially glass art which is what Hotel Murano features most.
The award-winning Hotel Murano offers a world-class hotel experience in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. Upon arriving at Hotel Murano you are greeted at the front entrance where Orizon, Costas Varotsos’ 104-foot tall, large scale glass masterpiece is located. The hotel features more than 45 glass artists from around the world. Art is deeply integrated into the function and design of the hotel, making every step an artful journey.
Creative and innovative glass artists were handpicked for the hotel including Susan Taylor Glasglow and Brent Kee Young, both US artists. Many international artists are also showcased at Hotel Murano including Davide Salvadore from Italy, Peter Bremers from Holland, and Hiroshi Yamano from Japan to name a few.
The hotel rooms are no exception. Sophistication meets warmth with a combination of large flat-screen televisions and iPod docking stations; custom hand-blown bedside lamps, luxurious beds and self-indulgent linens. Sounds dreamy!
The hotel features BITE, a fourth floor restaurant and a lobby bar on the first floor. Both keep with the flow of the art feel and feature several artists work. This luxurious hotel would not be complete without a Spa & Salon. Savi Day Spa and Salon Miro are onsite at Hotel Murano and offer complete spa services to help you unwind and relax. Yep, you’ll be certain to find me here!
Hotel Murano is located steps away from the museum district and theater district and is only 20 minutes from the Seattle/Tacoma International Airport. I am beyond thrilled to be welcomed to stay at the Hotel Murano this summer and cannot wait to report back on our visit.
If you are looking for the perfect hotel to experience in Tacoma Washington, be certain to check out Hotel Murano. For reservations you may contact them online or by phone at (253) 238-8000, (888) 862-3255. Hotel Murano is located at 1320 Broadway Plaza Tacoma, WA 98402.

You will love it. Directly across the street holds our business office for the Medical Group I work for and we use Hotel Murano frequently for conferences and it is great. So much to see..not sure how much time you have but our Children’s Museum was just renovated and is awesome and is nearby on ‘Museum Row’ on Pacific Ave where they also have Dave Chihuly’s Glass Museum, Art Museum and Washington State History Museum. My brother is a Chef at Over the Moon Cafe downtown and The Old Spaghetti Factory is a great place with kids. Have fun! Hope the weather is good to you 😐
