Disclosure: I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Influence Central for Vanity Fair Lingerie. I received product samples to facilitate my review and compensation to thank me for my participation.
One of the most exciting parts of being an ambassador for Vanity Fair is not only sharing their products but being able to share the exciting partnerships they have with companies that are changing the world for the better. It’s might be a small drop of water in the sea, but an organization like Dress For Success® make a huge impact on the lives of women. I’m so glad Vanity Fair is on board with Dress For Success® to help change lives of women are going through some hardships and in this post I’m going to tell you what they are doing and how you can help.
Dress for Success® is an international not-for-profit organization that promotes the
economic independence of disadvantaged women. They provide professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Since they opened their doors in 1997, Dress for Success® has grown into an organization found in over 140 cities throughout 20 countries. To date, they have proudly served more than 850,000 women and that number continues to grow.
New clothes are great and can give you the confidence you need to go out and rock a job interview, but sometimes you need more to help keep that job or to go further in your new job. To have the confidence to actually reach your dreams when you’ve never had that opportunity can be hard to obtain on your own. I think that’s one of the best parts of Dress for Success®. The suiting program is what Dress For Success® may be known for but the cornerstone of the organization is employment retention. Once she has the job, Dress For Success® will continue to provide each woman with the guidance needed for them to realize the power that has always been within them, as well as empower them to become the woman that they would like to be!
When I was at the Vanity Fair Summit I had the opportunity to meet with a woman who went through the Dress For Success® program. Listening to her described her experience of being unemployed to finding Dress For Success and then finding employment was so heart warming. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room while she was talking. I didn’t realize how small things like a dress, or a good fitting bra, or even a firm handshake could change someone’s life.
With all of the good that Dress For Success® provides on their own where does Vanity Fair come in? They want to donate 50,000 new bras to Dress For Success. They need your help, though. When you purchase a bra, you get one free, and then Vanity Fair will donate one bra! Yep, you walk away with two bras and someone in need gets a bra too! How easy is that?! The Vanity Fair BOGOGO event is going on now until mid-November at your favorite retail stores so go on and shop til you drop!
If you don’t need a bra, I will still encourage you to make a charitable donation as the holiday season is upon us. A small donation is an easy way for you to empower thousands of women while they are working towards financial freedom.
