The Star Wars films are possibly one of the world’s most famous franchise and an iconic feature in the hit movies is the metaphysical “force”. The saying: “May the force be with you” now has cult status and interestingly, these words have been uttered by at least one character in every Star Wars film to hit the big screen.
The “force” refers to a ubiquitous power that is theoretical and binding, and it’s a primary object of the Jedi Knights as well as the Sith Monastic Order. But what would you do if you had the power to use it in real life? One thing for sure is that you would be able to complete the new Star Wars quiz found here with ease.
This is a question that many a Star Wars fan has pondered over the years and here are the top five things that the force could be used for:
1. Mind Trickery
One of the most powerful of all the force powers is the mind trickery and we regularly see the Jedi Knights using it to manipulate other’s thoughts and is often only used as a last resort in a sticky situation. In real life, this could be used to help you get to the front of a long queue without making everyone behind you mad or to ensure your builder or mechanic is telling the truth about the expensive “necessary repairs” on your home or car. If you want to get up to no good, you could also use it to ensure you get the job you want, or to get out of an exam – naughty but fun!
We often see the push force used by the Sith and the Jedi Knights during battle and it is often used as a practical way to move obstacles. It would be a handy trick to use if you need to move heavy objects such as a washing machine or a fridge into a new position in your kitchen or if you are feeling cheeky, you could use this force to move a car out of a prime parking space.
3. Fast Reflexes
Being able to move in sub-human ways would be an awesome force to use. You would never have to worry about banging your knee on a coffee table or walking into something hanging too low, and you never see a Jedi Knight walking around complaining that they bashed their funny bone on a door handle. You could use this power to be the best World of Warcraft player ever or better still; conquer every karate belt in just a few weeks and avoid accidents on a daily basis.
The Sith used lightning to win battles and fights, but it can also be used for more positive purposes. It could be used to generate electricity during a power cut or to start controlled fires for homeless people out on the streets in the winter. This force also has a fun element to it, as you could use it to caramelise your crème brulee or toast some marshmallows without having to light a bonfire – it’s basically the best tool is the world for any budding chef to have in their fingers.
There’s only one character with the psychometric force and that is the Jedi Master Quinlan Vos. You could use this force to learn about people’s pasts as well as to solve crimes, as it allows you to simply pick up an object and you will see everything and everyone that is connected to it. This would be a great tool to use as a police officer looking to solve crimes and it could also be used on teenagers to find out where they really went last night or your five-year-old who denies any knowledge of how that stain got there…
